Founder — Miranda Faith Memorial Foundation

Meet Kris

Kris Barney is a survivor of domestic violence and the mother of Miranda Faith. After losing her daughter to the very violence she herself endured, Kris transformed from a shy, meek woman into a driven force of advocacy and support.

Today, Kris speaks at trainings and conventions across the country, sharing her story and educating communities about the realities of domestic violence. She offers paid speaking engagements for organizations and institutions, and donates her time freely to survivor groups.

Kris has since remarried and lives in Louisiana with her husband. She is also the mother of grown children, Tanner and Emma. Through the Miranda Faith Memorial Foundation, she channels her pain into purpose — ensuring Miranda's memory creates real change for survivors seeking education and independence.
